Jack thinks he owns the neighbourhood.
Any time the milkman, postman or in fact anyone turns up and Jack's owner Charlie isn't home, Jack gets pretty hostile, barking ferociously and gnashing his teeth.
Well, to be fair, he is extremely territorial when he is at home in his own yard, but once he is outside the yard and in public with Charlie apparently he is ok. It actually makes me sad, not because I'm scared of dogs, but because Jack feels the need to behave that way. I have to wonder what happened to him as a puppy to make him so hysterically territorial.
Give it time and I'll win him over.

Well maybe you will and maybe you won't - but I hope you do. A couple of similar dogs I have known can be quite contrite, love you to death if you're IN and beware if you're not. BTW, what has happened to your presence on skype? Pam
poor jack :(
But be careful! Brendan's best mate Nick's parents live in Jindabyne and we were visiting and for some reason I arrived in the falcon first by myself and went to go in the gates, but the jack russell, teddy, lost it and was defending his territory but his teeth went into my converse! eek. He was only being a good guard dog, and I started to back away as everyone arrived. how embarrassing, being held up by a jack russell!
